Privacy Policy
This policy describes how Ryde EV handles personal information across our marketing website, rider app, and electric ride-booking service.
Effective date: June 3, 2026
What this policy covers
This Privacy Policy explains how Ryde EV collects, uses, stores, and shares personal information when you visit our website, download our app, create an account, request an electric ride, contact our team, or otherwise interact with our services.
Ryde EV provides electric ride-hailing and related customer support services. Because those services rely on booking, live trip coordination, and rider safety features, we may need certain information to operate the platform responsibly.
Information we collect
Information you provide directly. This can include your name, phone number, email address, support messages, feedback, and any information you submit through our website contact form or rider app.
Ride and location information. When you request or take a trip, we may collect pickup and dropoff details, route information, precise location data, trip timing, driver and rider identifiers, and ride history needed to coordinate and document the service.
Device and usage information. We may collect IP address, browser type, device identifiers, app diagnostics, crash data, operating system details, and information about how you interact with our website or app.
Payment and transaction information. If ride payments are processed through Ryde EV or a payment partner, we may receive billing status, limited payment metadata, transaction amounts, and receipts. Full card details are typically handled by our payment processors, not stored directly by us.
How we use information
We use personal information to operate the Ryde EV platform, match riders with drivers, process bookings, provide live trip updates, respond to support requests, improve service reliability, and maintain rider and driver safety.
We may also use information to send service notifications, prevent fraud, investigate misuse, measure performance, understand how people use our website and app, and comply with legal or regulatory obligations.
When we share information
We may share relevant trip details with drivers and fleet partners so they can accept, perform, and complete rides. We may also share information with vendors that help us run the service, such as hosting providers, analytics providers, customer support tools, communications platforms, and payment processors.
We may disclose information if required by law, to respond to valid legal requests, to protect the rights and safety of Ryde EV, riders, drivers, or the public, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or business transfer.
Ryde EV does not sell personal information for money. If we use analytics or advertising tools in the future, we will handle them in line with applicable privacy law and update this policy when needed.
Location data and ride safety
Because Ryde EV is a ride-hailing service, location data is important to core functionality. We may use location information to identify your pickup point, estimate arrival times, monitor active trips, support navigation, review incidents, and help resolve rider or driver disputes.
Where available in your device settings, you can control some location permissions. However, limiting precise location access may reduce or prevent parts of the service from working correctly.
Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain ride and transaction records, resolve disputes, enforce our terms, satisfy safety and fraud-prevention needs, and meet legal obligations.
Retention periods may vary depending on the type of data, the sensitivity of the information, and whether the information is tied to an active account, an unresolved issue, or a legal requirement.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct inaccurate data, request deletion, object to certain processing, or request a copy of your information.
You may also opt out of promotional communications by using the unsubscribe option in those messages. Service-related messages about bookings, support, safety, and account activity may still be sent when necessary.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure. No online system is completely secure, but we work to protect data in a manner appropriate to the nature of the service.
Children's privacy
Ryde EV is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
Contact us
If you have privacy questions, requests, or concerns, you can contact Ryde EV at support@rydeev.com or hello@rydeev.com. Please include enough detail for us to understand and respond to your request.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will revise the effective date on this page and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
